ممزقاً في القلب لا يلتئم
with a shudder whose bearer remains
With a quiver carrying it, it hasn't ceased
torn within the heart, never healing.
Shattered in the heart, unhealed
زلازلearthquakes البركانthe volcano لماwhen دعتcried out
زلازل البركان لما دعت
أنthat سئمتwere weary of بركانهاtheir volcano المحتدمraging
أن سئمت بركانها المحتدم
When the volcano's quakes cried out
Volcano quakes when they called
that they were weary of their raging volcano,
That their raging volcano grew weary
أجابهاanswered them اللَهGod الطفيbe gentle وارجفيand tremble
أجابها اللَه الطفي وارجفي
منfrom شفتيthe two lips of محبوبةa beloved woman تبتسمshe smiles
من شفتي محبوبة تبتسم
God answered them: “Be gentle, and tremble
God answered her "Be calm and quake
from the lips of a smiling beloved.”
With my beloved's smile you beam"
