قلتُI said صلنيgrant me your love فإنيfor indeed I لكَto you باقremaining
قلتُ صلني فإني لكَ باق
ولوeven if أنthat الكثيرَthe many ليسَis not بباقremaining at all
ولو أن الكثيرَ ليسَ بباق
I said, “Grant me your love, for I remain yours,
I said pray for me, for I will remain yours
even if the many do not remain.”
Even if many things do not last
قالhe said منwhoever كانَwas فيin الجمالِbeauty وحيداًpeerless
قال من كانَ في الجمالِ وحيداً
لاnot يباليpays heed بكثرةِto the multitude of العشاقthe lovers
لا يبالي بكثرةِ العشاق
He said, “One who is peerless in beauty
He said whoever is alone in beauty
pays no heed to the multitude of lovers.”
