كل امرئٍ يسعى بما في وسعِهِ

كل امرئٍ يسعى بما في وسعِهِ

إما إلى السرَّا أو الضرَّاءِ

إما إلى السرَّا أو الضرَّاءِ

Everyone strives with what lies within his power,

Each person strives with what is in their capacity

either toward prosperity or adversity.

Either for good fortune or for calamity

وأرى الحظوظَ ألفنَ كل مرفَّهٍ

وأرى الحظوظَ ألفنَ كل مرفَّهٍ

ونأت بجانبها عن البؤساءِ

ونأت بجانبها عن البؤساءِ

And I see fortunes befriending everyone who lives in ease,

And I see luck accompanying every wealthy person

and turning aside from the wretched.

While it turns away from the destitute

سبحانك اللهمَّ تعطي ذا الغنى

سبحانك اللهمَّ تعطي ذا الغنى

وتقترُ الأرزاقَ للفقراءِ

وتقترُ الأرزاقَ للفقراءِ

Glory be to You, O God: You give to the wealthy,

Glory be to You, O God, You grant wealth

and restrict provisions for the poor.

And restrict sustenance for the poor
