كلُّ امرئٍ كلف بحبِّ طباعهِ

كلُّ امرئٍ كلف بحبِّ طباعهِ

لا يستطيعُ عنِ الطباعِ سلوا

لا يستطيعُ عنِ الطباعِ سلوا

Every person is enamored of his own nature;

Each person is bound to love their nature,

He cannot detach himself from that nature.

Unable to part from their nature.

فإذا وثقتَ من الحبيبِ فربما

فإذا وثقتَ من الحبيبِ فربما

تجدِ الحبيبَ قدِ استحالَ عدوا

تجدِ الحبيبَ قدِ استحالَ عدوا

So if you trust the beloved, you may

So if you trust a lover, perhaps

Find the beloved has turned into an enemy.

You may find the lover has become an enemy.
