ياO فاتنَenchanter of النساكِthe ascetics ماnot عهدناwe have known
يا فاتنَ النساكِ ما عهدنا
أنْthat يدخلَshould enter المسجدَthe mosque ريمُa gazelle الفلاةِthe wilderness
أنْ يدخلَ المسجدَ ريمُ الفلاةِ
O enchanter of ascetics, we have never known
a gazelle of the wilderness to enter the mosque.
أماDo you not تخافُyou fear اللهَGod فيconcerning خلقهِHis creatures
أما تخافُ اللهَ في خلقهِ
لوif تركواthey abandoned إنif شاهدوكَthey saw you الصلاةprayer
لو تركوا إن شاهدوكَ الصلاة
Do you not fear God for His creatures,
should they forsake prayer upon seeing you?
