لأعطي اسمك يا من تعشق المقل
By God, if they gave the full moon a new name,
By God, if they renamed the full moon
It would be given your name, O you whom eyes adore.
I would give your name, o lover of beauty
كلاكماboth of you الحسنbeauty فتاناًbewitching بصورتهthrough its form
كلاكما الحسن فتاناً بصورته
وزدتand you surpassed it أنكin that you أنتyou yourself الحبlove والغزلand amorous verse
وزدت أنك أنت الحب والغزل
Both of you are beauty, bewitching in its form;
You both have charm in your image
And you surpass it in that you are love and amorous verse.
And you, even more so, are love and passion
