أمِ الظباءُ في وادٍ وهي في وادي

Is the valley's gazelle they spoke of like this,

Or are the gazelles in one valley, and she in another?

رحماكَ يا ربِّ عجلْ بالمماتِ إذا

رحماكَ يا ربِّ عجلْ بالمماتِ إذا

قدرتَ أن لهذا كانَ ميلادي

قدرتَ أن لهذا كانَ ميلادي

Have mercy, O my Lord; hasten death, if

You have decreed that my birth was for this.
