أرى الدنيا تؤول إلى زوالِ

وينضمُ الأميرُ إلى الحقيرِ

I see the world coming to an end,

I see that the world leads to decline

And the prince joining the lowly man.

The prince joins the peasant

فإن كان الغنى كالفقرِ يفنى

فإن كان الغنى كالفقرِ يفنى

فما شرفُ الغني على الفقيرِ

فما شرفُ الغني على الفقيرِ

So if wealth, like poverty, perishes,

If wealth perishes like poverty

Then what superiority does the rich man have over the poor man?

Then what honor does the rich have over the poor?
