The bone of my arm was dislodged from its socket
He removed my arm's bone from the saddle,
by carrying the Rudayni spear and traveling in the predawn hours.
Carried me while the dark still lingered at dawn,
حولينِfor two years ماnot اغتمضتclosed عينيmy eye بمنزلةٍat a lodging
حولينِ ما اغتمضت عيني بمنزلةٍ
إلاexcept وكفيand my palm وسادa pillow ليfor me علىupon حجرِa stone
إلا وكفي وساد لي على حجرِ
For two years, my eye never closed at any lodging
Around me, as my eyes have never blinked
except with my palm as my pillow upon a stone.
Except my palm has cushioned me on a rock.
