هَوِّنtake it easy عَلَيكَon yourself فَكُلُّfor all الأَمرِthe matter يَنقَطِعُcomes to an end
هَوِّن عَلَيكَ فَكُلُّ الأَمرِ يَنقَطِعُ
وَخَلِّand release عَنكَfrom yourself عِنانَthe reins of الهَمِّworry يَندَفِعُis driven away
وَخَلِّ عَنكَ عِنانَ الهَمِّ يَندَفِعُ
Take it easy on yourself, for every matter comes to an end.
Be easy on yourself, for every matter will come to an end
And cast off worry's reins; it will be driven away.
And leave behind the reins of worry, so it may flow away
فَكُلُّfor every هَمٍّworry لَهُhas مِنfrom بَعدِهِafter it فَرَجٌrelief
فَكُلُّ هَمٍّ لَهُ مِن بَعدِهِ فَرَجٌ
وَكُلُّand every أَمرٍmatter إِذاwhen ماضاقَit grows constricted يَتَّسِعُopens out
وَكُلُّ أَمرٍ إِذا ماضاقَ يَتَّسِعُ
For every worry is followed by relief.
For every worry has relief coming after it
And every matter, when it grows constricted, opens out.
And every tight matter will become open
إِنَّindeed البَلاءَaffliction وَإِنand even if طالَlasts long الزَمانُtime بِهِwith it
إِنَّ البَلاءَ وَإِن طالَ الزَمانُ بِهِ
فَالمَوتُthen death يَقطَعُهُcuts it short أَوor سَوفَwill eventually يَنقَطِعُcome to an end
فَالمَوتُ يَقطَعُهُ أَو سَوفَ يَنقَطِعُ
Indeed, affliction, even if it lasts a long time—
Indeed, distress - no matter how long it persists
Death will cut it short, or it will eventually end.
Will be severed by death, or it will surely cease
