You see the Basran—there is no mistaking him;
his nostril is swollen with pustules.
ربابينhe grew up among الحشوشthe privies وشبand came of age فيهاin them
ربابين الحشوش وشب فيها
فمنso from ريحِthe stench of الحشوشِthe privies بهin him اصفرارyellowing
فمن ريحِ الحشوشِ به اصفرار
He grew up among the privies and came of age in them,
so the stench of the privies has left him yellow.
يعتقhe ages سلحهُhis dung كيماso that يغاليhe demands a high price
يعتق سلحهُ كيما يغالي
بهfor it عندَat المبايعةِthe bargaining التجارِthe merchants
به عندَ المبايعةِ التجارِ
He ages his dung to demand a high price
for it when bargaining with the merchants.
