وداع دونَ أوبتهِ النشورُ

وداع دونَ أوبتهِ النشورُ

ونأي لا يقر به مسير

A farewell whose return must await resurrection,

Farewell without its hoped resurrection

And a separation in which no journey finds rest.

And distance that does not accept journey

وقال غير ميمونٍ ولكن

وقال غير ميمونٍ ولكن

بأنكدَ ما يدورُ وما يطيرُ

بأنكدَ ما يدورُ وما يطيرُ

And he said: 'Not auspicious, but rather

And he said, though not auspiciously, but

With the unluckiest of all that moves about and all that flies.'
