منfrom جانبside الودaffection برقlightning
من جانب الود برق
Today there gleamed from her,
Today it shone from her
From the quarter of affection, a flash of lightning.
A flash of affection on her side
فقلتso I said هذاthis عجيبastonishing
فقلت هذا عجيب
قالتshe said واللّهby God خرقfolly
قالت واللّه خرق
So I said, “This is astonishing!”
So I said this is strange
She said, “By God, folly!”
She said, by God, it's a tear
