Sol 6.1

  1. هذا الابى التونسي

    هذا هو الوطني الممجد

    This is the proud Tunisian.

    This is the glorified patriot.

  2. هذا هو المنصور بل

    هذا هو المدني احمد

    This is al-Mansur—rather,

    this is Ahmad al-Madani.

  3. هذا الصقيل يراعه

    امضى من السيف المجرد

    This is he whose polished reed pen

    is sharper than an unsheathed sword.

  4. فتاكة اقلامه

    يرقى الشعور بها ويصعد

    His pens are deadly;

    through them, feeling rises and ascends.

  5. هذي المنابر وهي تع

    رفه سلوها عنه تشهد

    These are the pulpits, and they know

    him—ask them about him; they will testify.

  6. هذي مواقفه وما

    زالت هنا وهناك توجد

    These are his stances, and they have not

    ceased to be found here and there.

  7. هو آية الآيات ير

    كع للاله به ويسجد

    He is the sign of signs; one bows

    to God because of him, and prostrates.

  8. هو خادم لبلاده

    ولدين سيدنا محمد

    He is a servant to his country

    and to the faith of our master Muhammad.

  9. فالله ينصر حزبه

    فبمثله الاسلام يسعد

    So may God grant victory to his party,

    for through one like him Islam prospers,

  10. ويريه في الخضراء ما

    يرجى لها منه ويقصد

    and show him in Tunisia the Green what

    is hoped for her from him and sought.
