قد استنزلت من خلل السحاب

صواعق ساقها سوط العذاب

Indeed, I have called down from between the clouds

The lightning bolts pierced through the clouds

thunderbolts driven by the lash of torment.

Whipped by the lash of punishment

ومن يرق السما لاقاه رجم

ومن يرق السما لاقاه رجم

يعيده رغم أنفه للتراب

يعيده رغم أنفه للتراب

And whoever ascends to heaven is met with stoning

Whoever dared to ascend the skies

that sends him back to the dust against his will.

Would meet a barrage to return him to dust

فقم يا أيها المقبور قدم

فقم يا أيها المقبور قدم

حسابك إنه يوم الحساب

حسابك إنه يوم الحساب

So rise, O buried one; present

So rise, oh buried one, stand

your account—this is the Day of Reckoning.

For this is the day of reckoning

ولست بنافخ في الصور لكن

ولست بنافخ في الصور لكن

ضربناه مثالا للعقاب

ضربناه مثالا للعقاب

And I am not blowing into the Trumpet, but

I am no blower of horns

we have invoked it as an illustration of punishment.

But we struck it as an example of retribution
