قُلْ للقوافي قفي على عمر
إياكِbeware أنthat تُخدعيyou be deceived فتَنْخَدعيand so you are taken in
إياكِ أن تُخدعي فتَنْخَدعي
Tell the rhymes: halt at Umar.
Beware of being deceived and taken in
منone whose خمدتْhas died out نارُهhis fire فإنfor indeed أباAbu (father of)
من خمدتْ نارُه فإن أبا
أحمدٍAhmad نيرانهhis fires علىon اليَفَعthe high ground
أحمدٍ نيرانه على اليَفَع
By one whose fire has died out; for Abu
Ahmad’s fires are on the high ground.
