لاdo not تهيجُrouse الأُسْدَthe lions منfrom غاباتهاtheir thickets
لا تهيجُ الأُسْدَ من غاباتها
لاdo not تثيرُstir up النارَthe fire مِنْfrom تحتbeneath الضّرَمthe kindling
لا تثيرُ النارَ مِنْ تحت الضّرَم
Do not rouse the lions from their thickets.
Do not arouse the lion from his lair
Do not stir up the fire from beneath the kindling.
Do not stir the fire beneath the ashes
هَاlo هناhere واللهِby God سَيْلٌa torrent عَرِمraging
هَا هنا واللهِ سَيْلٌ عَرِم
يأخذtakes away الحُّجاجَthe pilgrims منfrom وسطthe middle of الحرمthe Sanctuary
يأخذ الحُّجاجَ من وسط الحرم
Lo, here, by God, is a raging torrent
By God, here is a mighty torrent
That sweeps the pilgrims away from the heart of the Sanctuary.
That will sweep the pilgrims from the sacred grounds
