نظرت إلى الأعمى وبؤس حياته

فألفيته بالعطف أجدر إنسان
I looked at the blind man and the misery of his life,
I looked at the blind man and the misery of his life
I gazed upon the blind man and the wretchedness of his life,
and found him the person most deserving of compassion.
So I found him most deserving of compassion
And found him the most worthy of kindness among all people.
فخذso take بيدby the hand of الأعمىthe blind man وقدهand guide him وسلهand comfort him
فخذ بيد الأعمى وقده وسله
وصلهand help him ولاand do not تبخلbe stingy عليهtoward him بإحسانwith kindness
وصله ولا تبخل عليه بإحسان
So take the blind man by the hand, guide him, and comfort him,
Take the blind man's hand and guide him, make his path smooth
So take the blind man's hand, guide him, and offer him solace,
and help him; do not withhold kindness from him.
And connect with him, do not be stingy in your goodness to him
Reach out to him, and do not withhold from him your charity.
