So spare me your pardoning him tomorrow,
and I shall avenge both you and myself upon him.

After you, a gaping creature has devoured us,
fangs bared, as slaughter-beasts before it even bites.

There was no solace in offspring when she came
as a guest, nor was hospitality's fire lit for her.

yesterday, that you should sustain her as emir.
