Visitors conveying to your honor
a grateful man changed his habitual ways.
The visitor’s finest gift.

In every inhabited, abandoned, absent
no hidden reserve a saver might store.

The valley has suffered drought: there is no milk-provider
On celebratory days they display
for the tribe's night visitor, nor date-provider.
What the sweet-scented displays.

They touch them between your days
the cords the braider has twisted tight,
Thoughts that thoughts follow.
