لَوif كانَwere يَقعُدُsit فَوقَabove النَجمِthe stars مِنby virtue of كَرَمٍnobility
لَو كانَ يَقعُدُ فَوقَ النَجمِ مِن كَرَمٍ
قَومٌa people لَقيلِthen it would be said اِقعُدواsit (plural command) ياO آلَhouse of عَبّاسِAbbas
قَومٌ لَقيلِ اِقعُدوا يا آلَ عَبّاسِ
If, by virtue of nobility, there could sit above the stars
If a generous tribe were to sit above the stars,
a people, it would be said: “Sit, O house of Abbas!”
It would be said: "Sit down, O family of Al Abbas."
