وَقالوا الطالِقانُ يُجِنُّ كَنزاً

وَقالوا الطالِقانُ يُجِنُّ كَنزاً

سَيَأتينا بِهِ الدَهرُ المُديلُ

سَيَأتينا بِهِ الدَهرُ المُديلُ

And they said, “Taliqan conceals a treasure;

The slanderers said that the noble one amasses wealth,

Time, the turner of fortunes, will bring it to us.”

Time will bring it to us sooner or later.

فَأَقبَلَ مُكدِياً لَهُمُ بِيَحيى

فَأَقبَلَ مُكدِياً لَهُمُ بِيَحيى

وَكَنزُ الطالِقانِ لَهُ زَميلُ

وَكَنزُ الطالِقانِ لَهُ زَميلُ

So it came to them empty-handed, bringing Yahya,

Then he came to them with John,

And Taliqan’s treasure was his companion.

And the noble one's treasure was his companion.
