بِالَّذيBy Him who أَنبَتَmade grow فيupon خَدَّcheeks (word fragment)
بِالَّذي أَنبَتَ في خَدَّ
يكَyour (completes 'your cheeks') وَرداًroses لَيسَnot يُقطَفُare plucked
يكَ وَرداً لَيسَ يُقطَفُ
By Him who made grow upon your cheeks
By Him who grew a rose in your cheek
roses that are not plucked,
That cannot be plucked away
لاdo not تَميلَنَّsway (emphatic) فَإِنّيfor I
لا تَميلَنَّ فَإِنّي
خائِفٌafraid أَنthat تَتَقَصَّفyou might snap
خائِفٌ أَن تَتَقَصَّف
Do not sway, for I am
Do not turn aside, for I
afraid that you might snap.
Fear you may break and fall
إِنَّماindeed مَيلُكَyour swaying فيin مَشwalking (word fragment)
إِنَّما مَيلُكَ في مَش
يَكَyour (completes 'your walking') مَرعوبٌfrightened مُخَوّفfrightening
يَكَ مَرعوبٌ مُخَوّف
Indeed, your swaying as you walk
Your inclination is but to walk
is frightened and frightening.
Terrified, fearful
