يَسيلُflows ماءُwater الندىdew; bounty منfrom بينbetween أنمُلهhis fingertips
يَسيلُ ماءُ الندى من بين أنمُله
حتىuntil يكادُnearly نداهُhis bounty يُغرقdrowns الجُلساthe seated companions
حتى يكادُ نداهُ يُغرق الجُلسا
The water of bounty flows from between his fingertips,
The dew drops flow from his soft palms,
until his bounty nearly drowns his seated companions.
Nearly submerging the session with their murmur.
كفُّa hand تُسالمgreets مَنْwhoever يلقاهmeets him مُستلماtouching reverently
كفُّ تُسالم مَنْ يلقاه مُستلما
كماjust as تُقاسمَshares with منwhoever يأتيهcomes to him مُلتمساseeking a gift
كما تُقاسمَ من يأتيه مُلتمسا
A hand that greets whoever meets him to touch it reverently,
Withdraw your greeting from whoever greets you,
just as it shares with whoever comes to him seeking a gift.
Just as you share with whoever seeks you.
فتشبهso it resembles الحجرthe stone المرفوعraised ملتثماًbeing kissed
فتشبه الحجر المرفوع ملتثماً
وتُشبهand it resembles الحجرthe stone المحمولcarried منبجساgushing forth
وتُشبه الحجر المحمول منبجسا
Thus it resembles the raised stone when kissed,
So you resemble an elevated rock, wrapped up,
and resembles the carried stone when gushing forth.
And you resemble a carried rock, gushing forth.
