ياO أيُّهاyou المرزوقُthe one granted sustenance منfrom
يا أيُّها المرزوقُ من
رُزقتَyou were granted sustenance منfrom بابٍa door فلاso do not تقطعcut off
رُزقتَ من بابٍ فلا تقطع
O you who are granted sustenance from
O you who are provided for,
You were provided for through a door, so do not cut it off.
Do not cut off the door through which you are provided.
ومنهُand from it كانَwas الرزقُsustenance فيماin what مضىhas passed
ومنهُ كانَ الرزقُ فيما مضى
لمْdid not ينتقلmove عنهُaway from it سوىexcept إصبعa finger’s breadth
لمْ ينتقل عنهُ سوى إصبع
And from it came sustenance in days gone by;
And from it provision came in the past,
it has shifted from it no more than a finger’s breadth.
It has not moved except a finger's breadth.
