بعدتُ وبَيتِ اللَّهِ مِن أَهلِ قَرقَرى

بعدتُ وبَيتِ اللَّهِ مِن أَهلِ قَرقَرى

وَمِن أَهلِ مَوسُوجٍ وَزِدتُ عَلى البُعدِ

وَمِن أَهلِ مَوسُوجٍ وَزِدتُ عَلى البُعدِ

I have grown distant, by the House of God, from the people of Qarqarā,

I traveled far from Allah's home, my people of Thatt-ur-ruqqa.

And from the people of Mawsūj, and I have grown farther still.

Far from Muwaswis, far from those I love, now further still I go.
