ياO قاضيFulfiller of الحاجاتِneeds كمhow many منof حاجةٍa need
يا قاضي الحاجاتِ كم من حاجةٍ
فُقِدَwas lost الرجاhope بقضائهاin its fulfillment فقَضَيْتهاyet You fulfilled it
فُقِدَ الرجا بقضائها فقَضَيْتها
O Fulfiller of needs, how many a need
You fulfilled when all hope of its fulfillment had been lost!
كمhow often نامَslept قلبيmy heart مُثقَلاًweighed down بهمومهِby its cares
كم نامَ قلبي مُثقَلاً بهمومهِ
فإذاand suddenly بهthere it is يصحوit awakens وقدand already فرّجْتَهاYou have dispelled them
فإذا به يصحو وقد فرّجْتَها
How often my heart slept, weighed down by its cares,
And behold, it awakens to find You have dispelled them.
كمhow many دعوةٍa prayer مُزِجتwas mingled بدمعِwith the tears of توسّليmy pleading
كم دعوةٍ مُزِجت بدمعِ توسّلي
أودَعْتُهاI entrusted it لكَto You خالقيmy Creator فأجبْتَهاand You answered it
أودَعْتُها لكَ خالقي فأجبْتَها
How many a prayer, mingled with the tears of my pleading,
I entrusted to You, my Creator, and You answered it.
وأناand I الذيthe one who أذنَبتُI sinned عُمريَmy lifetime كلّهُall of it
وأنا الذي أذنَبتُ عُمريَ كلّهُ
فسَتَرْتَyet You concealed كلّevery خطيئةٍsin وغفرتَهاand You forgave it
فسَتَرْتَ كلّ خطيئةٍ وغفرتَها
And I am the one who sinned my whole life,
Yet You concealed every sin and forgave it.
ماnot زلتَYou have ceased ياO ربّاهُmy Lord تجبُرُYou mend خاطريmy heart
ما زلتَ يا ربّاهُ تجبُرُ خاطري
وتغيثُand You succor هذيthis الروحَsoul منذُsince خلقتَهاYou created it
وتغيثُ هذي الروحَ منذُ خلقتَها
You have never ceased, O my Lord, to mend my heart,
And to succor this soul since You created it.
فلكso to You الثناءُpraise معtogether with المحامدِpraises كُلّهاall of them
فلك الثناءُ مع المحامدِ كُلّها
منfrom مَبدأِthe beginning of الأيامِdays حتىuntil المُنتهىthe end
من مَبدأِ الأيامِ حتى المُنتهى
So Yours is praise, together with all acclaim,
From the beginning of days until the end.
