وإذاand if البشائرُthe glad tidings لمnot تَحِنcome due أوقاتهاtheir appointed times
فلِحكمةٍthen for a wise purpose عندَwith الإلهGod تأخرتْthey were delayed
And if the appointed times for glad tidings have not yet come,
And if tidings do not come at their times
they have been delayed for a wise purpose known to God.
For wisdom with God they are delayed
سيسُوقهاHe will bring them فيat حينهاtheir time فاصبرلهاso wait patiently for them
حتىeven وإنand if ضاقتْgrew constricted عليكَupon you وأقفَرتْand became barren
He will bring them at their appointed time, so wait patiently for them,
He will bring them at their hour so wait for them
even if life closes in on you and grows barren.
Even if they are constricted and barren for you
تجريflow دموعtears اليأسِdespair منكِfrom you وربماand perhaps
عندat الصباحِmorning ترىyou see البشائرَthe glad tidings أنورَتْbecame radiant
Tears of despair flow from you, and perhaps
The tears of despair flow from you, and perhaps
at dawn you will see the glad tidings shine.
In the morning you will see the tidings illuminated
فغداًso tomorrow سيجريwill flow دمعtears عينكَyour eye فرحةًfor joy
وترىand you see السحائبَthe clouds بالأمانيwith wishes أمطرَتْrained
So tomorrow, tears from your eye will flow for joy,
So tomorrow your tears will flow in joy
and you will see the clouds rain down wishes.
And you will see the clouds with hopes rained
وترىand you see ظُروفَcircumstances الأمسِyesterday’s صارتbecame بلسَماًa balm
وهيand they التيthat أَعيَتْكexhausted you حينَwhen تعسّرتْbecame difficult
And you will see yesterday’s circumstances become a balm,
And you will see yesterday’s circumstances as balm
though they were the very ones that exhausted you when they grew difficult.
They wearied you when things were difficult
وتقولُand you say سبحانَglory be to الذيthe One who رفعَlifted البلاthe affliction
مِنfrom بعدafter أنthat فُقدwas lost الرجاءُhope تيسرتْbecame easy
And you will say, “Glory be to Him who lifted the affliction!”
And you will say, glory to He who lifted the affliction
After hope had been lost, things became easy.
After hope was lost, ease came
