لولا الإلَهُ ومَسعَى مَن يُطالِبُها

لولا الإلَهُ ومَسعَى مَن يُطالِبُها

وَابنا شِهَابٍ عفَت آثارَها المُورُ

وَابنا شِهَابٍ عفَت آثارَها المُورُ

Were it not for God and the striving of the one who seeks her,

Were it not for God and the efforts of those who seek Him,

and the two sons of Shihab, the windblown dust would have effaced her traces.

And a son of Shihab whose traces the sands have obscured.
