When will a person find a congenial friend
When will a man find an intimate friend
Who eases for him the burden of being on guard?
To relieve his burden of being reserved?
فَإِنِّيfor indeed I رَأَيْتُhave seen النَّاسَpeople بَيْنَbetween مُخَادِعٍa deceiver

For I have found people to be either deceivers
For I have seen people, among the deceitful
Of their brethren or enviers seething with anger.
To their brethren or envious foes.
