Purify your tongue as much as you can, and do not be

إِنَّ الْوَقِيعَةَ لا تَعُودُ بِخِزْيَةٍ

أَوْ سُبَّةٍ إِلَّا عَلَى مَنْ قَالَهَا

أَوْ سُبَّةٍ إِلَّا عَلَى مَنْ قَالَهَا

Indeed, slander brings no shame

Verily an insult returns not in disgrace

or disgrace except upon the one who uttered it.

Or abuse, except upon the one who uttered it.
