أَمَرْيَمُO Maryam لاno واللَّهِby God أَنْسَاكِI forget you بَعْدَماafter
أَمَرْيَمُ لا واللَّهِ أَنْسَاكِ بَعْدَما
صَحِبْتُكِI accompanied you فِيin خَفْضٍease مِنَof الْعَيْشِlife أَنْضَرِmost flourishing
صَحِبْتُكِ فِي خَفْضٍ مِنَ الْعَيْشِ أَنْضَرِ
O Maryam—no, by God, I shall not forget you after
Amiraymu, by God I have not forgotten you
I shared with you the ease of a life in fullest bloom.
After having been with you during difficult times
فَقَدْfor indeed كُنْتِyou were فِينَاamong us بَرَّةَupright الْقَوْلِspeech سَرَّةًnoble
فَقَدْ كُنْتِ فِينَا بَرَّةَ الْقَوْلِ سَرَّةً
سَلِيمَةَpure of قَلْبٍheart فِيin مَغِيبٍabsence وَمَحْضَرِand presence
سَلِيمَةَ قَلْبٍ فِي مَغِيبٍ وَمَحْضَرِ
For among us you were upright in speech and noble,
You were good-natured and cheerful amongst us
Pure of heart, whether absent or present.
With a pure heart whether absent or present
فَلُقِّيتِso may you be granted مِنْfrom ذِيthe Possessor of الْعَرْشِthe Throne خَيْرَthe finest تَحِيَّةٍgreeting
فَلُقِّيتِ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ خَيْرَ تَحِيَّةٍ
تُوافِيكِreaches you فِيin رَوْضٍa meadow مِنَof الْقُدْسِholiness أَخْضَرِgreen
تُوافِيكِ فِي رَوْضٍ مِنَ الْقُدْسِ أَخْضَرِ
May you, then, receive from the Lord of the Throne the finest greeting,
So you received from the Lord of the Throne
That reaches you in a green meadow of holiness.
The best of greetings to join you in a green garden of paradise
