مِنْ حَدِيدٍ يَقِيكَ طَعْنِي وَضَرْبِي
How can I lampoon you, when baseness is a wall
How can I woo you when baseness is a wall
of iron that shields you from my thrusts and blows?
Of iron that protects you from my thrust and blow?

Your honor is more thinly woven than the wind,
You have a body more delicate than silk cloth
and flimsier than Ibn Harb's cloak.
And weaker than the son of Harb's coat of mail.
