Nothing in this world can take the place of a trusted brother,
Nothing in life can replace a trusted friend,
one in whom both ear and eye find all they need.
In whom the ear and eye find satisfaction.
قَضَيْتُI satisfied مِنْfrom كُلِّevery شَيءٍthing رُمْتُهُI sought it وَطَرَاًa desire

Of everything I ever sought, I have had my fill—
I have had my fill of everything I sought,
except conversing with friends in the evening hours.
Except conversation with friends at night.
