مَنْ لِي بِظَبْيَةِ خِدْرٍ كُلَّمَا وَعَدَتْ

مَنْ لِي بِظَبْيَةِ خِدْرٍ كُلَّمَا وَعَدَتْ

بِزَوْرَةٍ أَعْقَبَتْ لِلْوَعْدِ إِخْلافَا

بِزَوْرَةٍ أَعْقَبَتْ لِلْوَعْدِ إِخْلافَا

Who can help me with a gazelle of the secluded chamber who, whenever she promises

A visit, follows her promise by breaking it?

تَحْكِي الْغَزَالَةَ أَلْحَاظَاً إِذَا نَظَرَتْ

تَحْكِي الْغَزَالَةَ أَلْحَاظَاً إِذَا نَظَرَتْ

وَالْوَرْدَ خَدَّاً وَغُصْنَ الْبَانِ أَعْطَافَا

وَالْوَرْدَ خَدَّاً وَغُصْنَ الْبَانِ أَعْطَافَا

She resembles the gazelle in her glances when she looks,

And the rose in her cheek, and the bān tree's bough in her body's curves.

تَاهَتْ بِنُقْطَةِ خَالٍ فَوْقَ وَجْنَتِهَا

تَاهَتْ بِنُقْطَةِ خَالٍ فَوْقَ وَجْنَتِهَا

زِيدَتْ بِهَا عَشَرَاتُ الْحُسْنِ أَضْعَافَا

زِيدَتْ بِهَا عَشَرَاتُ الْحُسْنِ أَضْعَافَا

She glories in the dot of a mole upon her cheek,

By which the tens of her beauty are multiplied manyfold.
