O king, whose two hands rain down generosity
O king, whose two hands have poured forth bounty
Upon both races—humankind and jinn—wandering and settled alike,
Upon humankind and jinn, desert dwellers and townsfolk alike.
عَرَاكَcame to you النِّيلُthe Nile مِنْfrom بَلَدٍa land بَعِيدٍdistant
فَأَلْبِسْهُso clothe it الْكَرَامَةَhonor فَهْوَfor it is عَارِيnaked
The Nile has come to you from a distant land;
The Nile has come to you from a distant land;
So clothe him in honor, for he stands bare.
So clothe it in honor, for it is naked.
