وَغْدٌ تَكَوَّنَ مِنْ لُؤْمٍ ومِنْ دَنَسٍ

وَغْدٌ تَكَوَّنَ مِنْ لُؤْمٍ ومِنْ دَنَسٍ

فَمَا يَغَارُ عَلَى عِرْضٍ وَلا حَسَبِ

فَمَا يَغَارُ عَلَى عِرْضٍ وَلا حَسَبِ

A wretch formed of baseness and filth,

And tomorrow is formed of vileness and of filth

So he cares nothing for honor or family standing.

So does not envy honor or lineage

يَلْتَذُّ بِالطَّعْنِ فِيهِ وَالْهِجَاءِ كَمَا

يَلْتَذُّ بِالطَّعْنِ فِيهِ وَالْهِجَاءِ كَمَا

يَلْتَذُّ بِالْحَكِّ والتَّظْفِيرِ ذو الْجَرَبِ

يَلْتَذُّ بِالْحَكِّ والتَّظْفِيرِ ذو الْجَرَبِ

He delights in disparagement of him and satire, just as

It takes pleasure in slander and abuse of it

One with scabies delights in rubbing and scratching with his nails.

As one with scabies takes pleasure in scratching and cleaning
