هَذاthis بِمصنعةِat the manufactory الحفصيّةِHafsiya اِنسَبكاwas cast
هَذا بِمصنعةِ الحفصيّةِ اِنسَبكا
عَنby إِذنِpermission of مَنthe one who قطرَthe territory of إِفريقيّةٍIfriqiya مَلَكاruled
عَن إِذنِ مَن قطرَ إِفريقيّةٍ مَلَكا
This was cast at the Hafsiya manufactory,
With this of the Hafsian craft was woven
By leave of him who ruled the land of Ifriqiya:
With the permission of him who ruled Ifriqiya
محمّدMuhammad الصادقِtrue العزمِin resolve المُشيرِthe marshal بهاin it
محمّد الصادقِ العزمِ المُشيرِ بها
لاmay not زالَcease to be شَمساًa sun وَلاand may not زالَتcease to be لهُfor him فَلَكاa celestial sphere
لا زالَ شَمساً وَلا زالَت لهُ فَلَكا
Muhammad al-Sadiq, true in resolve, the marshal there.
Muhammad the Sincere of resolve established it
May he ever remain a sun, and it remain his celestial sphere.
He remains a sun and it remains a sphere for him
لِيصعقَto blast الجورَtyranny أَنشاهُhe fashioned it فأرّخهُso record its date
لِيصعقَ الجورَ أَنشاهُ فأرّخهُ
صُورٌa trumpet بِقالبِin the mold of نصرِthe triumph of الحقّright قَدindeed سُبِكاwas cast
صُورٌ بِقالبِ نصرِ الحقّ قَد سُبِكا
He fashioned it to blast tyranny; so record its date:
To strike injustice unconscious he created it and dated it
A trumpet, indeed cast in the mold of right's triumph.
