ياO مَنyou who بِذيthrough these اللذّاتِpleasures قَدalready خشيَhas feared التلَفruin
يا مَن بِذي اللذّاتِ قَد خشيَ التلَف
أقصِرdesist فإنَّfor indeed العفوَpardon حظُّthe lot منِwhoever اِعتَرفhas confessed
أقصِر فإنَّ العفوَ حظُّ منِ اِعتَرف
O you who have feared ruin through these pleasures,
O You who fears loss of blissful joys,
Desist, for pardon is the lot of whoever confesses.
Be brief, for pardon is the lot of one who pleads guilty,
وَعَدَpromised الإلهُGod المُذنبينَthe sinners بقولهِin His words
وَعَدَ الإلهُ المُذنبينَ بقولهِ
إِنif يَنتهواthey desist يغفرwill be forgiven لَهمto them ماwhat قدalready سَلَفhas passed
إِن يَنتهوا يغفر لَهم ما قد سَلَف
God has promised sinners in His words:
God promised the sinners in His Word,
“If they desist, what is past will be forgiven them.”
That if they desist, He will forgive what is past.
