God be praised for the table of joy, adorned
God's table of joy was adorned
With fruits whose yield is sweet and pleasing.
With sweet fruits, its garden was pleasing

It was fit for the noblest company in a gathering,
It was surrounded by the best group in a gathering
Where ornamented cloaks and cushions were spread out.
Spreads before it were carafes and crystal decanters

مِن آلِ بيرمَ والعيان يطابقُ
It paid tribute to al-Mustafa, who gave it to us,
Bestowed upon its revelers, the Messenger sent to us
Of the house of Bayram—and what we see confirms it—
From the family of Bayram and the Ayans in harmony

كالسحبِ دلّ على حَياها البارقُ
For generosity, good humor, and grace,
With generosity, cheer, and subtlety
Like clouds whose rain the lightning heralds.
Like clouds its lightning indicated its liveliness

How noble he is, and his visitors, especially
Honor him and his visitors, especially
The son of Ibn Ayyad and a true friend.
The son of Ibn Ayad and the sincere and true Khalil
فَهُماso the two of them لَديناto us الفرقدانِthe two Farqad stars تَقارناthe two came together
فَهُما لَدينا الفرقدانِ تَقارنا
وَلَديهماand with them both كيوانُSaturn شيخٌan old man عاشقُin love
وَلَديهما كيوانُ شيخٌ عاشقُ
So to us they are the two Farqad stars, joined together,
For with us they are like two gems that match
And with them is Saturn, an old man in love.
And with them is the wise old passionate lover
