I asked the beauty for a cure for my ailment,
Through a sip of her cool, sweet-tasting saliva.
فَماso not زالَتshe ceased تقبّلkissing فيon جُفونيmy eyelids
وَتُبهرُنيand overwhelms me بِأنواعwith kinds of الحجاجِargument
So she kept kissing my eyelids
And overwhelming me with arguments of every kind.
وَقالَتand she said إنّindeed طرفكَyour eye كانَwas أصلاًa source

And she said, “Your eye was the source
Of your ailment, so let it be treated first.”
