هاتِ لي ذكرَ مَن أحبّ وخلّ

هاتِ لي ذكرَ مَن أحبّ وخلّ

مَسمَعي ينعشُ الفؤادَ برسمِه

مَسمَعي ينعشُ الفؤادَ برسمِه

Bring me remembrance of the one I love, and let

Speak to me of the one whom I love though he is gone,

My hearing revive the heart through his likeness.

My heart is refreshed by the mention of his name.

وَأَعِده وفقَ الغرامِ وَغادِر

وَأَعِده وفقَ الغرامِ وَغادِر

كلّ مَن في الوجودِ يَرمي بِسهمه

كلّ مَن في الوجودِ يَرمي بِسهمه

And repeat it as love dictates, and leave

Repeat it gently, in keeping with passion's ways,

Everyone in existence to shoot his arrow.

Abandoning all others who aim their arrows.

لا أُبالي وَإِن أصابَ فُؤادي

لا أُبالي وَإِن أصابَ فُؤادي

فَهوَ كَنزٌ محصّنٌ بِطِلسمه

فَهوَ كَنزٌ محصّنٌ بِطِلسمه

I do not care, even if it strikes my heart,

I care not if this love wounds my heart,

For it is a treasure fortified by his talisman.

For it is a treasure, secured by his spell.

كَيفَ أَخشى وخاتمُ الرسلِ أَنبا

كَيفَ أَخشى وخاتمُ الرسلِ أَنبا

إنّه لا يضرّ شيءٌ مع اِسمه

إنّه لا يضرّ شيءٌ مع اِسمه

How can I fear, when the Seal of the Messengers declared

How could I fear, when the Seal of Prophets announced,

That nothing can harm in the presence of his name?

Truly, no harm comes with invoking his name.
