I convey to your exalted assembly a greeting,

like wine whose clear draught is blended in a glass:

a cup passed round with pure affection; nothing has tinged

its blend except prayer or praise.

With that said, I ask of your generosity

that you send the brocade without delay.

For need has urgently called for it—

may your station be spared the touch of need.

And may you remain the upright faith’s sword,

a source of strength, and the crown of deep-rooted glory.
