فَالشَمسُfor the sun ماwhat غَيَّبتُconcealed (vocalized as ‘I concealed’) مِنof وَجهِكَyour face الكِلَلُthe veils
I said, “Lift the curtain, so we may enjoy our gathering;
I said, "Lift the curtain so we can enjoy our gathering,
for the sun is what the veils have concealed of your face.”
For though the sun has set, beauty still shines on your face."
