لا تَلتَمِس مِن مَساوي الناس ما سَتَروا

لا تَلتَمِس مِن مَساوي الناس ما سَتَروا

فَيهتِكَ اللَهُ سَتراً عَن مَساويكا

فَيهتِكَ اللَهُ سَتراً عَن مَساويكا

Do not seek out the faults that people have concealed,

Do not seek from people what they have concealed

lest God tear away the veil over your own faults.

Else God may reveal what you have hidden

وَاِذكُر مَحاسِنَ ما فيهِم إِذا ذُكِروا

وَاِذكُر مَحاسِنَ ما فيهِم إِذا ذُكِروا

وَلا تَعِب أَحَداً مِنهُم بِما فيكا

وَلا تَعِب أَحَداً مِنهُم بِما فيكا

And speak of the good in them when they are mentioned,

And remember the good in them when they are mentioned

and fault none of them for what is in you.

And do not blame anyone among them for what is in you

وَاِستَغنِ بِاللَهِ عَن كُلِّ فانٍ بِه

وَاِستَغنِ بِاللَهِ عَن كُلِّ فانٍ بِه

غِنىً لِكُلّ وثق بِاللَهِ يَكفيكا

غِنىً لِكُلّ وثق بِاللَهِ يَكفيكا

And find sufficiency in God, needing nothing that perishes; in Him

And suffice yourself with God beyond every transient

is sufficiency for all. And trust in God; He will suffice you.

Wealth for all, so trust in God, He suffices you
