اِغتَنِمmake the most of غَفلَةَinattention المَنِيَّةِdeath وَاِعلَمand know
اِغتَنِم غَفلَةَ المَنِيَّةِ وَاِعلَم
إِنَّماonly الشَيبُgray hair لِلمَنِيَّةِto death جَسِرُa bridge
إِنَّما الشَيبُ لِلمَنِيَّةِ جَسِرُ
Make the most of death's inattention, and know:
Gray hair is but a bridge to death.
كَمmany a كَبيرٍgreat one يَومَon the Day of القِيامَةِResurrection يُقصىwill be cast aside
كَم كَبيرٍ يَومَ القِيامَةِ يُقصى
وَصَغيرٌand a lowly one لَهُfor him هُنالِكَthere قَدرُstanding
وَصَغيرٌ لَهُ هُنالِكَ قَدرُ
Many a great one will be cast aside on the Day of Resurrection,
while a lowly one will have standing there.
