وَلا تَكذِب مُقَدِّمَةٌ لِفِعلِك
And your speech, when you speak in a gathering,
And your word, when uttered wholly
—and do not lie—is a prelude to your action.
Does not lie, a prelude to your deed

So weigh it carefully if you wish to speak,
So weigh it, if you want your words weighed
Or else it will bring down some of the pillars of your nobility.
Else, raze the pillars of your nobility
