لاdo not تُتبِعِfollow with الدُنياthis world وَأَيّامَهاand its days
لا تُتبِعِ الدُنيا وَأَيّامَها
ذَمّاًblame وَإِنand even if دارَتturns بِكَagainst you الدائِرَهmisfortune
ذَمّاً وَإِن دارَت بِكَ الدائِرَه
Do not heap upon this world and its days
Do not pursue this world and its days,
blame, even if fortune turns against you.
Though it may spin you in its cycle.
مِنpart of شَرَفِthe nobility of الدُنياthis world وَمِنand part of فَضلِهاits merit
مِن شَرَفِ الدُنيا وَمِن فَضلِها
أَنَّthat بِهاthrough it تُستَدرَكُcan be attained الآخِرَهthe Hereafter
أَنَّ بِها تُستَدرَكُ الآخِرَه
Part of this world's nobility and merit
The nobility of this world and its excellence
is that through it the Hereafter can be attained.
Is to prepare in it for the world to come.
