أرى الريح تجري باقتدارك خالقُ

أرى الريح تجري باقتدارك خالقُ

وتعلم ما منها رديفٌ وسابق

وتعلم ما منها رديفٌ وسابق

I see the wind flowing by Your power, O Creator.

I see the wind blowing by Your power, O Creator

And You know what of it follows and what goes ahead.

And I know it has no ally or rival

وتعلم ما مرت به دهر دهرنا

وتعلم ما مرت به دهر دهرنا

وما حركت مما يُخَفِّقُ خافق

وما حركت مما يُخَفِّقُ خافق

And You know what it has passed over throughout our lifetime.

And I know the eras it has passed through our time

And what it has stirred among all things that flutter.

And what it has stirred of the fluttering heart

وليس لها والله أمرٌ يُحَرِّكُ

وليس لها والله أمرٌ يُحَرِّكُ

ولكنما التحريكُ منك يطابق

ولكنما التحريكُ منك يطابق

And, by God, it has no command that sets things in motion.

By Allah, it has no command to set in motion

But the setting in motion comes from You, in accord.

But rather the stirring is from You in harmony

ومنك الذي عنها يسكن كله

ومنك الذي عنها يسكن كله

وما حركت بعضاً وبعض ملاصق

وما حركت بعضاً وبعض ملاصق

And from You comes all that is still apart from it.

And from You comes that which stills it completely

And what it has moved in part, while another part remains attached.

You moved some while some clung together

وأنت الذي تُجْري السحائبَ كلَّها

وأنت الذي تُجْري السحائبَ كلَّها

وتُجْري لنا الأرزاقَ منها وَرازقُ

وتُجْري لنا الأرزاقَ منها وَرازقُ

And You are the One who drives all the clouds.

You send all the clouds running

And You bring us sustenance from them, and You are the Provider.

And send us provisions from them as Sustainer

وأنت الذي تجري الظلام بما تشا

وأنت الذي تجري الظلام بما تشا

وتجليه بالأنوار فضلاً ورافق

وتجليه بالأنوار فضلاً ورافق

And You are the One who makes darkness flow as You will.

You run the darkness as You desire

And You dispel it with lights, out of grace, and are gentle.

And illuminate it with lights, blessings and affinity

وأنت الذي تعطي الجزيل تفضُّلا

وأنت الذي تعطي الجزيل تفضُّلا

وتكفي شروراً للذي قد ينافق

وتكفي شروراً للذي قد ينافق

And You are the One who gives abundant bounty out of generosity.

You give abundantly out of grace

And You ward off evils for one who may act hypocritically.

And restrain evils from those of hypocrisy

وتعلم ما في البر والبحر كلِّه

وتعلم ما في البر والبحر كلِّه

وكلِّ الذي في العرْش والفرْش واثق

وكلِّ الذي في العرْش والفرْش واثق

And You know what is on land and throughout the sea.

You know all that is on land and sea

And every trusting being in the Throne and on the earth below.

And all that is on the Throne and in the bed steadfast

وتعلم ما بين الجميع وتحته

وتعلم ما بين الجميع وتحته

وما فوقه كلاً وما هو واسق

وما فوقه كلاً وما هو واسق

And You know what lies between them all and beneath them.

You know what lies between all and beneath

And all that is above them, and whatever they contain.

And above, each and every towering

وتعلم مالي والذي بي يَصْلُحُ

وتعلم مالي والذي بي يَصْلُحُ

فكمِّلْ مرادي بالذي هو رائق

فكمِّلْ مرادي بالذي هو رائق

And You know what is mine and what is right for me.

You know what flaws I have

So fulfill my wish with what is pleasing.

So fulfill my purpose with that which is pleasant
