تنصَّلتُ للمولى على المنع والكره

تنصَّلتُ للمولى على المنع والكره

لعل الذي أهوى أنال على الوجه

لعل الذي أهوى أنال على الوجه

I made my excuses to the Lord for withholding and aversion.

I disavowed my master though he forbade and disliked it

Perhaps I may attain what I desire in the proper manner.

That I may gain what I love in the desired way

وعلّي لما يرضى أنال جميعه

وعلّي لما يرضى أنال جميعه

وعلّي أكُ المُهدَى على المنع والكُره

وعلّي أكُ المُهدَى على المنع والكُره

And perhaps I may attain all of what pleases Him.

And that I may gain all of what pleases him

And perhaps I may be the one offered as a gift, despite withholding and aversion.

And that I may consume the gift though he forbids and dislikes it
